Suggestions for encouraging the Pastor's Family

How can I encourage my pastor's family?

Invite all members of the Pastor's family for dinner.

Pray for the Pastor's family.

In the Sunday morning prayers include the Pastor's family when praying for the Pastor.

Recognize the ministry and gifts of the Pastor's family. Family members have an identity beyond "Pastor's wife," or "Pastor's child."

Kids at school will not necessarily be affirmed as a pastor's kid. Tell your pastors child that their dad or mom is a hero and that they should be proud of being a PK (Preacher's Kid).

Include the whole family when issuing an invitation to the Pastor. This helps the family feel they are truly in ministry together.
